The next Gasto Promotions gig is on Saturday 19th May when we have the JOHN HACKETT BAND playing at the Forum Music Centre in Darlington.
John Hackett is probably best known for his distinctive flute sound in the world of progressive music.

Solo flautist, guitarist, singer and composer, John collaborated with his brother Steve Hackett, the former Genesis guitarist, on Steve's early albums "Voyage of the Acolyte" and "Please Don't Touch," along with further recordings and tours of the UK, USA and Europe, playing guitar, flute, and bass pedals.

John comes from both classical and rock backgrounds and has played with ensembles such as The English Flute Quartet and the Westminster Camerata. He is also a member of the ambient music trio, Symbiosis.

John now has his own band and are touring to support his latest cd "We Are Not Alone" [which has received critical appraise from the Prog Rock media].

We can expect a heady and eclectic mix of rock-solid music, swirling mellotron and at times, free improvisation.

Support are Darlington acoustic duo MOONSHINE GROVE

Tickets priced £10 from the Forum on 01325-363135, or on the door from 8:00pm.
